Vicki Walkden was born in Birmingham in 1971 and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Art and Design from Bradford Art School in 1995. Vicki later received an MA in Computing in Design in 1998, which led to setting up and running a successful IT design company. However, she has now returned to her love of painting.

Her inspiration is taken from landscapes, nature and organic forms. She plays with colour and form to create a sense of space, tranquility and mystery. Exploring colour is a particular focus for Vicki, who descibes herself as a colourist painter. By combining beautiful colours taken from everyday scenes and objects, she aims to emanate calm and beauty.
