Maureen Stone was born in 1940. She moved to Ottery St Mary in Devon in 2000 and became a member of Otter Vale and Honiton Art Societies. Since then she has sold regularly in both society annual exhibitions, other group exhibitions and has won competitions for best use of colour. Maureen also welcomes commission requests.
Watercolour is her main medium as she finds it both challenging and exciting. She works with large wet into wet washes usually with a limited palette. Her home in Devon provides unlimited subject matter for her work in landscapes. More recently she has worked with mixed media and uses collage and acrylic inks with her watercolour.
